Here's a piece I decided to work on while I contemplate what color palette to use on some other pieces that are still in my sketchbook before transferring to larger paper.
This was done from a reference photo taken while I was on vacation in Florida earlier this year. I loved the affectionate moment caught on film between mother and baby, but didn't care for the background of the shot. I felt charcoal and hard pastel would best complement the image, but I may fool around with re-doing this one in watercolor at a later date.
